Objective: To discover how and where water is distributed on Earth.

  1. Do NOW!
    1. What percentage of water are Oceans? What percentage of water are glaciers? What percentage of water is groundwater? What percentage of water is surface water? What percentage of water is found in the atmosphere?

    2. Finish working on the Jigsaw posters with your home group.
    3. Water Cycle Game-
      Students started at one of nine stations where water can end up on Earth (Lakes, Ground water, glaciers, plants, animals, soil, oceans, rivers, or clouds). At each station is a dice, students role the dice and move to another station or stay depending on the role, mimicking water’s movement on Earth.  While traveling students fill out the Water Cycle Travel Log
    4. Students who are done with the game will read Water Distribution Article Graph and fill out The Water Cycle and Our Earth
