Objective: Describe the factors included when predicting the safety levels of North Carolina’s water supply.

 

Lesson:

  1. Bellwork:
    Students will watch the video ‘The Story Behind Bottled Water’ and take down 5 notes as they watch the video.  Then students will answer the following questions:
    1.Why is Bottled Water Bad for the environment (hint: Think Water Crisis and the plastic bottle) 2.Will you continue to drink bottled water? Why or why not? ● •¿Por qué el agua embotellada es mala para el medio ambiente (sugerencia: ThinkWaterCrisis y la botella de plástico) •¿Vas a seguir bebiendo agua embotellada? ¿Por qué o por qué no?
  2. Students will read, annotate, and answer the questions for the Current Event’s article Oyster aquaculture could significantly improve Potomac River estuary water quality
